Rapture & Wright is a renowned British maker founded by Peter Thwaites and Rebecca Aird in 2004, specialising in exceptional handmade fabrics and wallpapers. Based in the Cotswolds, their workshop is one of the few remaining handprint studios in the UK, where every piece undergoes meticulous artisanal production. Their designs blend subtle elegance with both contemporary and classical tastes, adapting traditional printing methods for contemporary interiors. The studio remains committed to sustainability and preserving British craftsmanship through thoughtful, small-scale production.

The Story behind

Hand-printed, exceptional quality fabrics and wallpapers

The brand’s story is deeply personal, grounded in a passion for design and craftsmanship. After years of travelling and creating murals around the world, Peter and Rebecca founded their own studio, drawn to the authenticity of hand production and a desire to help revive British textile making. They began in a leaky barn, building their own printing table and sourcing the best British suppliers, gradually establishing a name that celebrates quality and small-scale artisan production. Their founding vision continues to guide their growth and drive their distinctive approach to textile design.

Customised and bespoke colour ways available

In addition to their standard colourways, any Rapture & Wright design can be printed in over seventy custom colours on three different base cloths. A bespoke colour-matching service is also available. Standard, customised, and bespoke samples can be ordered, with larger returnable samples also available.
