Catherine Olley is an interior designer and founder of London-based Dauphine Interiors. Her approach is heavily influenced by her upbringing, where interior design was a more gradual process of collecting. She still believes that the best homes are cultivated over time.
She first flat, which she tackled on a budget, was published in House & Garden as ‘a masterclass in craftsmanship and creativity.’ Her thoughtful, personalised touches, taking each room one by one and buying second hand, allowed her to develop and mature the aesthetic. Her philosophy is you don’t have to spend a fortune to make things nice; you just have to carefully consider them.
