Hallway Edit
An Inviting Entrance
London and Cotswolds-based interior designer Nadine Finnegan is a master at creating lively, warm spaces. In this collection, she has put together a selection of pieces she would select now for an inviting hallway. ‘A good entrance hall never compromises on style or substance. This grouping has both, ensuring it feels both chic and inviting, with smart storage solutions’ says Nadine.
‘A joyful wallpaper and art will add interest, while a lacquered dish will keep the look together and is perfect for keys. Chic, colourful fabrics enliven the space.’ The result is a layered, warm feel of an interior that immediately welcomes.

Making the space work for you
Nadine believes in thoughtful space planning to keep an entrance practical. ‘A multi-tasking bench provides seating for putting on and taking off boots, with concealed storage to keep shoes and dog leads neatly tucked away. We would always add cushions, to help finish the space and add some comfort.’
A cosy, vibrant rug ties everything together
If you have the space, which really means ‘if you can take off your shoes before you get there’, a cosy rug in an entrance hallway always feels luxurious. Nadine loves a vibrant, handwoven rug, like this brilliant blue flatweave by Amy Kent x Rapture & Wright, to blend warmth and character with softness and ease.

Adding character through layering
Panelling gives a beautiful depth, whilst candlelight is always brilliant in entrances for diffusing the light. Nadine selected this candle by The Perfumer’s Story as it envelops the space in a beautiful fragrance ‘which truly brings the outside in.’
